Stockwell Day and Danielle Smith among featured speakers at the Prairie Cereals Summit

Calgary, AB (October 16, 2019)– The lineup for the Prairie Cereals Summit at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel on December 11-12, 2019 is now live and open for registrations.

Hosted by the Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions, this two-day event includes a full day conference featuring keynote speaker, the Honourable Stockwell Day who will provide an analysis on international trade with a critical look at China trade relations. Other speakers include Danielle Smith, former politician and journalist for Global News/770 CHQR, Sean Finn, Executive Vice-President for CN and Ted Menzies, former politician and former CEO of Crop Life Canada, to name a few. “This year’s conference agenda is shaping up to be the best yet, with high profile presenters and important topics affecting crop producers today,” said Dave Bishop, Alberta Barley chair.
 
 “The summit is a great opportunity for farmers to network and share a dialogue with these speakers, as well as with industry professionals and their peers,” said Gary Stanford, Alberta Wheat Commission chair.
 
The summit also features Alberta Barley’s Annual General Meeting, which farmers are encouraged to attend, a pub tour of downtown Banff, a poster session and a reception followed by a banquet.
