- The benefit pays 75% of the first $58, 700 normally earned by employees, up to $847 per week.
- The subsidy is expected to last for three months – retroactive from March 15 to June 6, with funds flowing around early May.
- Farmers who can show that their revenues have fallen by at least 30% in March, April or May compared to the same months last year will be eligible.
- Organizations that don’t qualify for the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy may still qualify or the previously announced wage subsidy of 10%.
- Temporary Wage Subsidy for employers is a three-month measure that will allow eligible employers to reduce the amount of payroll deductions required to be remitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
