Alberta Wheat Commission Calls for Nominations
Commission seeking wheat producers willing to serve as Directors and Regional Representatives.
(Calgary, Alberta) – The Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) interim Board of Directors is pleased to announce its inaugural Call for Nominations. The AWC is seeking nominations for two Directors and three Regional Representatives in each of its five regions.
To be eligible in a particular region, producers must grow wheat in that region and have paid a check-off to the AWC. Directors and Regional Representatives will represent growers in their respective regions.Nomination forms need to be signed by at least three eligible producers from the region a producer is being nominated in, and be accompanied by the written consent of the eligible producer who is being nominated.
Call-out for nomination information and the nomination form are available at www.albertawheat.com or by calling Elizabeth Tokariuk, Office Administrator at 403-345-6550. Nominations must be filed in writing and received on or before Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the AWC office:

The initial terms of office for Directors and Regional Representatives are:
Region 1 – one year
Region 2 – two years
Region 3 – three years
Region 4 – two years
Region 5 – one year

Region 1 – Lethbridge, Wednesday, November 21, 2012
Region 2 – Strathmore, Monday, November 19, 2012
Region 3 – Red Deer, Friday, November 30, 2012
Region 4 – Vermilion, Wednesday, November 22, 2012
Region 5 – Fairview, Friday, November 16, 2012
